Their outdated telephone system lacked call routing capabilities, reporting features, and remote call functionality. Additionally, they expressed dissatisfaction with their current IT support provider, and their desktop PCs were slow and outdated.
RTP Solutions began by conducting a thorough assessment of the telephone system. Through a series of information-gathering exercises, a migration plan was developed, resulting in a seamless transition to a cloud-hosted telephone solution. This comprehensive solution fulfilled their functional requirements, including auto attendants, detailed reporting, improved call flow, and a mobile app that allowed agents to retrieve calls while on the go.
Next, RTP Solutions focused on enhancing Winkworth Estate Agents’ IT infrastructure. The PCs utilised a mix of local logins and shared accounts, lacked backup mechanisms, and had unsecured file shares that compromised data confidentiality.
To address the lack of backup, RTP Solutions implemented a robust backup solution, ensuring hourly local backups and twice-daily syncs to the cloud. This comprehensive backup strategy provided Winkworth Ealing with total protection against failures, with a 15-minute recovery time in the cloud in the event of a complete site loss.
The directory system was evaluated, and new accounts were created, enabling domain joining of the PCs. Additionally, data shares were secured using the principles of least privileged access, ensuring that confidential data remained protected, improving defence against ransomware, and providing accountability for data access.
To ensure standardisation and best practices, RTP Solutions implemented a series of Group Policies to configure all machines appropriately. Automatic printer installations were set up, and folder redirection was implemented.
To fortify network security, a new security suite was deployed, actively monitored by the RTP Solutions team 24/7/365.
RTP Solutions replaced Winkworth Estate Agents’ aging fleet of PCs with new micro units. These upgraded machines not only provided significantly improved performance but also contributed to a tidier workspace due to their smaller form factor.
With the implementation of these solutions, Winkworth Estate Agents now operate within a secure and agile IT environment. They can conduct business efficiently, with increased productivity, data protection, and reduced downtime.
